These terms govern your use of the Patternhand website at patternhand.com, operated by Setagaya Studio ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Patternhand is currently in beta and access is offered at our discretion.
Joining the list does not guarantee a seat, a timeline, or a price. We may limit, delay, or decline access, and we may change or withdraw beta features at any time. Beta software and early output may contain errors.
Where we take on work for you, the specific scope, price, delivery format, and turnaround are agreed with you directly, and that agreement takes precedence over these terms if the two conflict.
A pattern is a starting point for production, not a guarantee of fit or yield. Garment fit depends on your fabric, grading rules, tolerances, machinery, and factory. You are responsible for reviewing every pattern and sewing and approving a sample before committing to a production run. We are not responsible for the cost of a production run cut without an approved sample.
You keep all rights in the designs, photos, sketches, tech packs, and other material you send us. You grant us a limited licence to use that material only to carry out the work you asked for. We treat it as confidential, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the right to send us what you send, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Once you have paid for the work in full, the finished pattern files we deliver are yours to use in your own production.
The Patternhand name, the website, and the software and methods we use to produce patterns remain ours. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our tools, systems, or underlying technology to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, production, materials, or goodwill, arising from your use of the website or of any pattern we deliver. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific work the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas for any dispute arising out of or relating to them. If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose law lets you bring proceedings locally, nothing here removes the protection of the mandatory consumer law where you live.
We may update these terms. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date above. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
